What to do with emails that fail authentication.
Policy for subdomains. Inherits from domain policy if not set.
Percentage of messages the policy applies to. Use this to gradually roll out a stricter policy.
Email address to receive daily aggregate reports (XML format).
Email address to receive individual failure reports. Not all providers support this.

Domain-based Message Authentication
DMARC builds on SPF and DKIM to give domain owners control over what happens when emails fail authentication. It tells receiving servers whether to deliver, quarantine, or reject unauthenticated messages.
Reporting & visibility
DMARC aggregate reports (rua) give you daily XML reports showing who is sending email from your domain, pass/fail rates, and source IPs. This visibility is essential for understanding your email ecosystem before enforcing strict policies.
Recommended rollout
Start with p=none and configure aggregate reporting. Monitor for 2-4 weeks to identify all legitimate senders. Then move to p=quarantine with a low percentage, and finally p=reject once you are confident all senders are authenticated.
