What is BIMI?

Brand Indicators for Message Identification

BIMI is a DNS-based standard that lets you display your brand's logo next to authenticated emails in supported inboxes. It works on top of existing email authentication — your domain must have DMARC set to p=quarantine or p=reject before BIMI will be honored.

SVG Tiny PS requirements

BIMI logos must be in SVG Tiny Portable/Secure format — a restricted profile of SVG that excludes scripting, external references, and animations. The image must be square, served over HTTPS, and accessible publicly. Most standard SVG files need conversion to meet these requirements.

Verified Mark Certificate

A VMC is a digital certificate issued by a Certificate Authority (like DigiCert or Entrust) that verifies ownership of the logo. Gmail requires a VMC to display BIMI logos. Other email providers like Apple Mail and Yahoo may show logos without a VMC, though having one increases trust and coverage.
